Automation Engineer

Your tasks

Identify new opportunities for automation within the production processes and proactively propose solutions for their implementation.
Work on the setup, configuration, and programming of new automation equipment such as PLCs, robots and vision systems.
Responsibility for elaboration and documentation of automation projects into operation in adherence to the planned budget and time schedule.
Provide PLC, robot and vision system programming support to the production teams and maintenance department to ensure safety, quality, uptime, and performance goals.
Update, modify, and continuously improve existing PLCs, robots and vision systems.
Train electricians and other employees at various workstations on control related systems.
Troubleshoot automated processes or equipment when errors occur. Actively participate in problem solving meetings.
Support external suppliers during upgrades and installation of new equipment.
Participate in definition of maintenance procedures for automation equipment such as PLCs, robots, vision systems. Proactively propose ideas for preventive maintenance.
Ensure compliance with policies and procedures of the company including health, safety and environmental and be proactive in the development of a safe working environment.
Your Profile

Bachelor or Master degree in the field of technical sciences (Electrotechnical/Mechanical/Technical faculty or equivalent)
Minimum 2 years of experience on similar position
Solid knowledge of production automation with industrial robots (e.g. ABB, KUKA, Epson).
Solid knowledge about machinery (PLC's, Electrical, Mechanical, Pneumatics).
Solid knowledge of industrial vision systems (Cognex, Siemens, Keyence, etc.).
Organizational skills, technical thinking, analytical skills.
Fluent English language skills
