Warranty Engineer

Your tasks

• Pull warranty data out of the customer databases and compiling data into reports.  This includes both time in service data as well as claim narratives where available.  This data will also be used to forecast future warranty costs and savings.
• Represents Brose at customer warranty parts reviews and warranty related meetings.
• Perform bench testing to determine disposition of returned parts.  If necessary, the Warranty Engineer will coordinate additional laboratory testing, dimensional analysis, or return part to the manufacturing site for proper 8D analysis.  Warranty Engineer must own the entire warranty process, including customer timing commitments.  
• Lead/participate in the negotiation of Technical Factors with customers for responsible projects/commodities.
• Communicate monthly Warranty SharePoint reports including customer data and return analysis results to the relevant manufacturing locations. Also responsible to notify manufacturing teams and management of emerging issues and/or trends from physical returns and customer data.

Your Profile 

• Warranty engineer must be willing to travel to customer warranty part centers
• To have active communication with their customers
• To be a working team member in all aspects of the warranty process
• Technical knowledge, self-motivated, and communicate well in English.
