CMM Metrology Engineer (m/fd)

Your tasks

  • Program and operate Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) using PC-DMIS (2019 onwards).
  • Plan and perform annual internal and external re-qualification measurements to support the product testing plan.
  • Conduct CMM measurements for PSW submissions, ensuring alignment with technical specifications and project timelines.
  • Support the Goods Inwards Testing Plan by performing measurements and recording results in SAP.
  • Carry out internal PPAP measurement according to specifications and timing schedules.
  • Provide accurate measurement data to support problem resolution and statistical analysis.
  • Communicate with technical personnel from customers and suppliers as needed.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures, including those related to health & safety, quality, environmental standards, and ethics.
  • Complete additional tasks as required to support quality and production targets.

 

Your Profile

  • HNC or higher qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronic Engineering (or equivalent).
  • 2–3 years of relevant experience in a metrology or quality engineering role.
  • Proven expertise in CMM programming and operation, particularly using PC-DMIS is a must.
  • Strong understanding of engineering drawings and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
  • Familiar with statistical methods and skilled in preparing detailed measurement reports.
  • Knowledge of problem-solving tools such as 8D, Ishikawa, and FMEA.
  • Comfortable using basic measurement equipment and working with SAP modules for Goods Receiving and Vendor Management.
  • PC literate, with good command of Microsoft Office tools.
  • Team player with strong communication skills and a detail-oriented mindset.
