Lean Continuous Improvement Engineer (m/f/d)

Your tasks

  • Prepare, plan and follow up on the continuous development of the plant location with Brose Production System (BPS) principles
  • Plan and conduct workshops & trainings, qualifying participants in BPS methods and tools
  • Support the Head of BPS in projects and meetings as required
  • Design and implement lean tools and methods, e.g. Shop Floor Management (SFM)
  • Ensure achievement of plant savings targets through Revenue and Cost Excellence (RACE)
  • Conduct BPS audits (self-assessments) independently, ensuring group-wide standards are met
  • Identify, plan, and implement improvement projects with measurable results
  • Drive the Corporate Suggestion System (IDEAS), including reporting to Central and Plant Management
  • Communicate and share best practices and benchmarks within the Brose Group
  • Work closely with all plant areas, the central BPS team, and BPS counterparts in other locations 

 

Your Profile

  • Degree in Engineering or Apprenticeship with HNC or higher
  • 2+ years’ experience in a transferable skilled position (e.g. production, quality, maintenance, lean/CI role)
  • Strong knowledge of lean tools and methods: 5S, 8 Wastes, SMED, VSM, KPI-Tree, Kaizen
  • Experience in process optimization, with basic knowledge of project management
  • Understanding of OOE & OEE performance indicators
  • Confident in leading at least one core competency workshop
  • Excellent moderation, communication, and facilitation skills
  • Data-driven, with strong analytical abilities and structured problem-solving approach
  • Strong interpersonal skills, able to work effectively across cultures and organizational levels
  • Self-managed, proactive, and results-oriented personality
