Production Director (m/f/d)

Your tasks

  • Lead Manufacturing and Technical functions to deliver “best in class” performance in quality, cost, and delivery.
  • Ensure on-time, in-spec, and cost-effective product supply to customers, working closely with cross-functional teams.
  • Define short-, medium-, and long-term strategic direction for Manufacturing, Quality, Logistics, and Technical functions, translating into actionable deployment plans.
  • Drive results-oriented leadership, supporting and developing both direct and indirect reports.
  • Lead business planning, including cost control, investments, workforce, and material planning aligned with turnover and sales targets.
  • Implement Brose standards and tools to monitor and improve performance across all functions.
  • Develop and implement cost-reduction initiatives within the supply chain, including product and process improvements.
  • Champion a continuous improvement culture through PDCA cycles, cost efficiency, and performance enhancement.
  • Embed the Brose Production System across all operations.
  • Ensure health, safety, and environmental compliance, safeguarding employees and protecting the environment.
  • Uphold company policies and values, including Code of Conduct, Quality, Equal Opportunities, and Sustainability principles.

 

Your Profile

  • Proven senior leadership experience (min. 4 years) in manufacturing and technical management within a high-volume, complex production environment.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality systems, and technical services.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead large teams (direct & indirect reports) with a focus on coaching, performance, and accountability.
  • Experience managing P&L, budgets, and KPIs with a strong commercial and operational focus.
  • Track record of delivering cost savings, process optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal functions.
  • Strategic mindset combined with hands-on leadership and decision-making capability.
  • Strong commitment to health, safety, environment, and sustainability.
