BOM & System Engineer-BS

Your tasks
- Responsible for internal data management in Brose PDM and customer PDMs such as KVS, Connect, or SMARAGD.
- Conversion of variant matrix from customer and internal specifications into product structures/variant trees.
- Engineering Change Management: Review of customer change documents (for VWEAG available in German only); Identifying necessary actions for the BoM (new materials/new BoM); Creating and assigning colors to new materials in ProPDM; Maintaining data in SAP; Preparing and initiate change management (GECOS) in SAP; Procuring and preparing assembly drawings from customer systems; Importing assembly drawings into PLM systems.
- Plausibility check of customer BOMs.
- Creation of parts scope lists for engineering change projects and model maintenance items.
- Creation and verification of LAW part numbers (billing of assembly times).
- Setting up special orders/special call-offs in SAP.
- Strong communication skills when interacting with customers and suppliers.
- Experience in seat development with OEMs, preferably VW or Mercedes.
- Experience with SMARAGD, KVS, and other OEM PDM systems.
- Structure and function of development and production bills of materials.
- Classification of materials/components (e.g., for VWAG: structure and functionality of PR numbers, structure of VW part numbers, color coding system).
- Experience in working in PLM with the following: Document management; BOM line-item wise management; ECM (Engineering Change Management); Workflows.
- Experience with SAP Material Management, including change management in an automotive Tier 1 environment.
- Experience with software like Visual Basic, Python, KNIME, MS Access, and advanced MS Office will be added advantage.
Your Profile
- Bachelor's degree (B. E or B. Tech.) in Mechanical engineering/Automotive engineering is preferred in the automotive field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Between 4 to 10 years of professional experience in automotive industry after university graduation.
- Good Communication and presentation skills.
