Your tasks

  Product unit development head - Seats.
• Product unit development head - Seats.
• Disciplinary / technical responsibility for employees.
• Manager of a Design department 
• Goal of position
• Design function head manager is responsible for contributing towards product strategy, ensure concept development as per Brose PDP and have functional plus disciplinary responsibility of designers reporting to him. 

Specific tasks

• Review and responsible for release of product concept proposed to customer
• Ensure that the product is developed as per project premises of cost, quality & timeline and inline to meet customer requirements/internal specifications
• Nominate lead & detailed designers supporting project team
• Play active role in defining product strategy for future. Identify need for new generations development of standard mechanisms and seat structure concepts
• Supports in benchmarking of products. Defines which products to be benchmarked
• Keeps awareness of technical requirements development in market.Forsee changes in trends
• Disciplinary & functional responsibility of reporting designers
• Responsible for keeping team budgets within approved limits
• Responsible for releasing engineering outputs like drawings BOM,CAD models,calculations,technical risk analyses
• Play active role in improving design methodologies and ensure set methods are used by designers

Educational Background / main focus 

• Job Experience (Years)
• 13+ years in automobile industry.Should have 8+ yrs.experience in seat structures and atleast 5+ yrs. of domestic market experience.
• Atleast one program was launched from concept to production.
• Seat mechanisms and kinematic knowledge.
• Seating requirements and product development expertise
