Your tasks

• Design and development of complete seat plastics.
• Creates/develops/realizes designs in CAD. Active in development of concepts in accordance with customer or internal requirements. Develops design concepts into qualitative cost effective designs.
  Is ready to work as independent contributor or works in a smaller team within the seats design team with a senior engineer.
• Represents all design activities during product development, which calls for close co-operation with team engineer and test engineer. Interfaces and seeks agreement on design details, perhaps with customer/suppliers.
• Design and construction from pre-development to series production and deadline tracking for seat plastics.
• Package and kinematic study with surrounding seat component parts (e.g. plastic parts, foam, safety components, airbags, seat belt reminder, belt buckles, Headrest, electronic components, seat heating, climate system, wire harness, sensorics, control units and pneumatic elements) and with the vehicle environment in Catia V5.
• Design of 3D kinematics, production of envelope curves, application of further kinematic functions
• Design and dimensioning of component connections, definition of reference point systems
• Development, representation and coordination of design concepts as well as implementation of new technologies
• Controlling and ensuring of necessary design development steps
• Preparing of design documents for approvals
• Independent creation of designs, assembly drawings, single part drawings, bill of materials for new and serial production products in accordance with:
• Brose standards and proceedures,
• product workshop assumptions/goals,
• customer specification, GD&T
• use of standard components,
• reuse of designs and parts,
• Brose production feasibilities and standards,legal requirements, internal and external norms and standards,
• external Know How (suppliers) and internal Know How.
• Capable of calculating functional dimensions and tolerances in accordance with the results of testing and simulation.

Your Profile

• Bachelor's degree (B. E or B. Tech.) in Mechanical engineering/Automotive engineering is preferred  in the automotive field  or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Between 4 to 8 years of professional experience in automotive seat plastics design after university graduation in engineering degree.
• Must have knowledge and experience in automotive seat plastics design.
• Knowledge and experience of working in Automotive Complete Seat Design
• CAD designing using CATIA V5 3D and 2D.
• Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
• Basic knowledge of design calculations of static and dynamical loads,deformation,pressure,mechanism travel and effort calculation etc.,
• Knowledge in working on Seats Structure will be an added advantage
• Microsoft office tools
• Good communication and presentation skill
