- Your task
- Hardware Developer Electronics is responsible for defining,designing,and guiding the implementation of embedded hardware for automotive motor control systems such as Traction drives,Engine Cooling Fans,HVAC blowers and Vehicle Control UnitThe.
- This role requires know-how in Motor Control Strategies,Motor Topologies,Embedded Systems,Power Electronics,Functional Safety and Cyber Security.
- Define end-to-end hardware architecture for motor control ECUs(BLDC,PMSM).
- Design and review power electronics(inverters,gate drivers,DC-DC converters).
- Select and integrate automotive microcontrollers and key peripherals(ADC,PWM,timers).
- Architect communication interfaces (CAN,LIN,SPI) for robust vehicle integration.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 26262,EMC/EMI,and automotive quality standards.
- Support safety analysis (FMEA,FMEDA,FTA)and implement hardware safety mechanisms.
- Guide PCB design for high-power and mixed-signal systems(SI,thermal,EMC).
- Lead hardware validation,debugging,and root cause analysis.
- Collaborate with software,mechanical,and validation teams for system integration.
Your Profile
- Graduate/Post-graduate degree/PhD (e.g.Electronics,Electrical,Power Electronics,Instrumentation)
Work Exp 6-8yrs. - Proficiency in electronics concepts/topologies like Buck,Boost,Inverter and Motor controller
- Proficiency in 3-Phase / Multi-Phase H-bridge integrated drivers e.g. Infineon TLE9180,Texas Instrument DRV3256, DRV8363,UCC27712,UCC21530.
- Detailed understanding of switching devices e.g.MOSFETs,IGBTs,SiC FETs inlc.parasitic components,losses and selection criteria with waveforms
- Working experience with microcontroller peripherals e.g.Timers,PWM,ADCs,I/O’s,&OpAmps
- Microcontroller interfaces like SBC,EEPROMs,HSDs,LSDs,CAN/CAN-FD,SPI,I2C,etc.
- Working experience with microcontrollers like NXP S12Z,Infineon TLE987x,S32K1/K3
- Design of protections in compliance with ISO 16750 & similar standards
- Proficiency in component selection strategy & diagnostic methodology
- Design experience of Snubber,boot strap,power supplies
- Advanced Simulations ORCAD capture,LTspice,etc.
- Working experience of rotor position sensors,encoders,HALL sensors
- Component & System level thermal calculations
- Proficiency in EMI EMC compliance with CISPR25/ECER10/AIS004
(PCB layout constraints for low EMI robustness - Extensive experience in Root Cause Analysis methods e.g.5 WHY,8D,Fishbone
- Quality compliance FMEA,DRBFM,Worst case analysis WCCA
