Plant Quality-CMM & Incoming Inspection Engineer

Your tasks

  • Plan & coordinate the measuring instruments / equipment’s calibration, incoming inspection and assembly lines.
  • Monitoring supplier PDIR reports.
  • Annual layout plan of purchased parts from supplier (Plan Vs Actual).
  • Handling the inspectors from CMM Lab, incoming Quality and 100% inspection area to utilize them in better planned way.
  • Planning and execution of parts inspection (Series as well as new SOP Project) in incoming Quality and Lab.
  • Expertise in CMM programming (Zeiss Calypso) & troubleshooting.
  • Provide seamless shop support to ensure right quality product delivered to Customer.
  • Drive performance and efficiency improvement of incoming inspection & CMM lab.
  • Control and resolution of hold area material within defined time.
  • Identify the severity and risk behind any customer / process complaint and initiate containment together with communication to supplier immediately.
  • Effective Engineering change management related to supplier change request.
  • Incoming and CMM operator shift planning.
  • Ensure CMM machines are properly calibrated and maintained.
  • In lab all machines CMM, VMM, Microscopes, UTM, machines software trouble shooting analysis and closer on time.
  • Manpower handling skill.
  • Maintain and update calibration records, certificates, and schedules in compliance.
  • Incoming inspection rejection booking in SAP and material sending to supplier.
  • Ensure the supplier PDI and annual layout inspection.
  • As per plan 5S audit to performed in lab.


Your Profile

  • BE or DME in Mechanical, Automotive or production engineering.
  • 3-5 years of working experience.
  • Knowledge of Quality Management system according IATF16949, EMS14001 – implementation.
  • Hands on experience in GD&T and problem solving + CMM handling experience.
  • In depth understanding of quality tools like SPC, MSA, PFMEA, PPAP and APQP.
