Project Engineer-Drives

Your tasks
- Coordination with customer and internal project development team. Understanding the customer requirements in terms design and project deliverables and making sure of timely delivery with expected quality.
- Technical responsibility for the relevant product.
- Steering the development of drives/systems together with team according to PDP and project management guidelines under the supervision of the superior / project manager.
- Maintains project schedule by monitoring RFQs, project approach and progress, controls project plan by reviewing design, specifications, and plan, scheduling changes, and recommending actions ensuring timely completion of short and long-term projects/tasks.
- Defining and releasing the contents of technical documents (drawings, parts status list, bill of materials) considering the results of the departments involved (e.g. testing, production planning).
- Definition and assignment (incl. test sample order) of all internal prototype requirements for C/I projects during prototyping with regards to design, delivery date and test environment.
- Definition of the component specification (CRS) and the system design description (SDD).
- Implementing and ensuring change management with proper tracking.
- Creation and maintenance of the design FMEA (drive and/or systems) in cooperation with the departments, cooperation in the preparation of the process FMEA.
- Cooperation in the analysis of the cost development of the components and derivation of measures for permanent cost reduction and their implementation.
- Coordination of the activities of external development partners/suppliers in consultation with the supervisor/design engineer responsible for the component (definition of tasks, quality assurance of results).
Your Profile
- Bachelor's degree (BE or BTech) in Mechanical engineering/Automotive engineering.
- Between 6 to 10 years professional experience preferred in automotive domain.
- Candidate should have knowledge of Project Engineering.
- Professional experience in a similar position, preferably within the automotive supplier industry.
- Project planning, tracking/ monitoring, and reporting skills.
- Hands-on experience in engineering/ procurement and construction of medium/ small projects, preferably within the automotive supplier industry.
- Know-how in the development of electric drives and design will be added advantage.
- Good written and verbal English communication.
