Simulation Engineer-Moldflow (4-5 Years)

Your tasks
- Performing injection molding (Moldflow) simulation to evaluate part filling, warpage and feasibility for manufacturability of plastic parts.
- To effectively communicate simulation results, providing design improvement feedback and optimization recommendations, if required, to enhance product quality during development or production.
- Perform Moldflow simulations for injection-molded plastic components to evaluate manufacturability, filling behavior, warpage, and process optimization.
- Collaborate with local and global tooling experts to assess component manufacturing feasibility and prepare detailed feasibility and simulation reports.
- Provide technical recommendations on gate location, runner design, filling patterns, and process parameters for plastic parts.
- Mentor and train junior engineers on Brose methodologies, best practices, and standards for Moldflow analysis.
- Establish and strengthen Moldflow simulation capabilities in India in alignment with Brose global methodologies and processes.
- Serve as the technical interface for design engineers by providing recommendations to improve part manufacturability, tooling feasibility, and product quality.
- Drive simulation capacity planning by estimating project effort, managing simulation workloads, and aligning timelines with internal and external stakeholders.
- Do periodic knowledge sharing on best practices.
- Responsible for best practice documentation, lesson learnt, project updates, assigning out of office deputy and other routine activities directed by supervisor.
- Support in cases where stretched efforts are needed to support business needs.
Your Profile
- BE / M- Tech (Mech) / Tool designing or Eqv.
- Experience: 4-5 years of relevant experience in Automotive Industry.
- Strong hands-on experience with Moldflow simulation tools (Autodesk Moldflow Insight).
- Knowledge of plastic materials, material behavior, and processing characteristics.
- Understanding of DFM (Design for Manufacturability) principles for plastic components.
- Familiarity with tooling feasibility assessment and injection mold development processes.
- Exposure to automotive industry standards and product development lifecycle preferred.
- Working knowledge of CAD tools such as CATIA is an advantage.
- Strong communication skills, especially with German counterparts.
- Should demonstrate initiative and flexibility.
