Team Leader - Systems Engineering Electronics

Your tasks
- Responsible for leading the Drives Systems Engineering and Hardware Development team, ensuring the successful development, integration, and release of electric vehicle system components e.g. electric drives, vehicle control units, telematics, and charging systems etc. through effective resource management, technical leadership, and continuous process improvement.
- Drive the development and implementation of systems engineering and hardware development processes aligned with Automotive SPICE, ISO 26262 Functional Safety, ISO/SAE 21434 Cybersecurity, and company standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams including software, mechanical, validation, manufacturing, quality, and project management to ensure successful development and industrialization of drives products.
- Review, approve, and release system requirements, system architectures, hardware specifications, interface definitions, and technical deliverables throughout the product lifecycle.
- Ensure robust systems engineering practices including requirements management, architecture development, traceability, risk analysis, change management, verification, validation, and system integration following the V-Model.
- Conduct and lead technical reviews, design reviews, safety reviews, and release milestones, ensuring compliance with customer requirements, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Drive competency development within the team through training and knowledge-sharing initiatives focused on EV E/E architecture, battery technologies, power electronics, systems engineering, functional safety, and emerging mobility technologies.
- Prepare and manage annual budgets, resource planning, investment proposals, and personnel plans in coordination with management, while monitoring performance and implementing corrective actions as required.
- Manage assigned employees in accordance with company management principles, including performance management, talent development, coaching, mentoring, and succession planning.
- Manage technical risks and engineering escalations, supporting data-driven decision-making and ensuring timely resolution of critical project issues.
- Support innovation and technology roadmap development by evaluating emerging EV technologies, battery innovations, charging solutions, and next-generation vehicle architectures to strengthen future product competitiveness.
Your Profile
- Graduate / Post-graduate degree / PhD (e.g. Electronics, Electrical, Power Electronics, Instrumentation.
- Experience: 10-18 Years.
- Proficiency in electronics concepts/topologies like Buck, Boost, Inverter and Motor controller.
- Proficiency in 3-Phase / Multi-Phase H-bridge integrated drivers e.g. Infineon TLE9180, Texas Instrument DRV3256, DRV8363, UCC27712, UCC21530.
- Detailed understanding of switching devices e.g. MOSFETs, IGBTs, SiC FETs inlc. parasitic components, losses and selection criteria with waveforms.
- Proficiency in microcontrollers like NXP S12Z, Infineon TLE987x, S32K1/K3.
- Design of protections in compliance with ISO 16750 & similar standards.
- Proficiency in component selection strategy & diagnostic methodology.
- Design experience of Snubber, boot strap, power supplies.
- Advanced Simulations: ORCAD capture, LTspice, etc.
- Working experience of rotor position sensors, encoders, HALL sensors.
- Component & System level thermal calculations.
- Proficiency in EMI EMC compliance with CISPR25 / ECER10 / AIS004.
- PCB layout constraints for low EMI robustness. Extensive experience in Root Cause Analysis methods e.g. 5 WHY, 8D, Fishbone.
- Quality compliance FMEA, DRBFM, Worst case analysis (WCCA).
- Working experience of Modulation Techniques like Space Vector Pulse Width Modulation (SVPWM), Harmonic Injection, Field Weakening, Maximum Torque Per Ampere (MTPA) etc.
- Working experience of Control Systems Strategies e.g. P, PI, PID.
- Working experience of 3-phase Current Measurement and reconstruction using Single Shunt method.
- Working experience of Fourier Transformation, Laplace Transformation and Transfer Functions and State Space.
