Injection Molding Engineer

Your tasks

• Lead the management of new plastic injection tooling projects from concept through production launch.
• Review and evaluate mold designs to ensure manufacturability, quality, cycle time optimization, and long-term tooling performance.
• Perform component feasibility analysis from the initial design phase through the end of tool life during serial production.
• Coordinate tooling development activities with suppliers, customers, design teams, quality, and manufacturing departments.
• Conduct plastic injection simulations and technical evaluations to support product and mold design decisions.
• Calculate and prepare tooling quotations and determine piece price costing based on technical and commercial requirements.
• Conduct engineering change feasibility studies, including technical evaluations, cost assessments, and quotation preparation.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to molding processes, tooling performance, quality, and manufacturing efficiency.

Your Profile

• Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field.
• 4-5 years of experience in plastic injection molding processes within an automotive, industrial, or manufacturing industry.
• Strong knowledge of plastic injection molding simulation and flow analysis.
• Extensive experience in plastic resin setup, processing, and optimization, including troubleshooting and process parameter development.
• Advanced knowledge of tooling design for plastic injection molds.
• Proficient in design software such as CATIA and SolidWorks.
• Experience performing injection molding machine tonnage calculations (press size calculations).
• Strong understanding of plastic injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment, including robots, dryers, chillers, temperature controllers, and material handling systems.
• Effective communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
• Advanced English proficiency.
