Head of Project Controlling

Your tasks
- Oversee the operational management of three project controlling teams across three business divisions.
Independently coordinate comprehensive analysis and reporting tasks, with responsibilities for presenting results both internally and externally. - Lead team members and foster the development of their personal and professional competencies.
- Provide support to (senior) controllers when addressing complex commercial challenges.
Ensure the accuracy, transparency, and plausibility of commercial data for customer units and product groups, in line with business rationale and company guidelines. This includes: - Product/project calculation and controlling (e.g., project reporting, preparation, maintenance and plausibility checks of calculations, commercial contract review, target & measure controlling, project administration).
- Calculation of business cases, business plans, and cost-benefit analyses (CBA) related to regionally developed products, M&A activities, and restructuring/relocation initiatives.
- Result controlling and optimization (e.g., participating in operational result controlling with business unit controlling, providing consultation on technical optimizations).
- Decision-making support (e.g., preparing analysis and receiver-oriented recommendations to aid decision-making, supporting supplier and customer negotiations).
- Business unit reporting and analysis (e.g., tracking order income through end-of-project, analyzing customer team P&L, managing integrated planning (ILP) and monthly reporting, business plans, and forecasts).
- Project-oriented commercial controlling for product/customer teams.
Your Profile
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a commercial/technical field, such as Industrial Engineering or technically-oriented Business Administration.
- 6-8 years of relevant work experience.
- Profound experience and methodological expertise in project controlling (e.g., identifying and evaluating cost potentials).
- Strong knowledge of OEMs’ and suppliers’ practices, particularly in price defense and negotiation.
- Excellent negotiation skills.
- In-depth process knowledge in controlling, covering reporting, planning, budget management, calculation, and project management.
- Extensive understanding of relevant product and process technologies and their commercial impact.
- Strong entrepreneurial and strategic mindset.
- Proven leadership capabilities.
- Fluent in English (business level).
