Robot Motor Project Engineer

Your tasks

  • Lead technical activities for robotic motor projects from acquisition to end of production, ensuring cost and timeline targets are met.
  • Serve as the primary technical interface between customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
  • Coordinate tasks across regions and functional divisions; manage design requirements and documentation.
  • Review customer inputs, define needs, and assign tasks to internal design teams and external suppliers.
  • Oversee feasibility studies and FMEA for robotic motor components; contribute to supplier selection to ensure capability and quality.
  • Define design KPIs, establish testing requirements, and support production-related technical issues.
  • Conduct market studies with internal and external stakeholders; prepare market insight reports to support management decisions.
  • Provide ongoing technical support to plants and ensure effective implementation of design changes and improvements.

Your Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field, with 5+ years of experience in the automotive or robotics industry.
  • Strong knowledge of drive units, motor kits, and system integration; basic understanding of control unit hardware/software preferred.
  • Creative thinker with the ability to develop innovative concepts and solve complex product development challenges.
  • Proficient in CATIA V5 and ANSYS Motion (or equivalent 3D motion simulation tools).
  • Skilled in GD&T, with solid knowledge of materials (steel, aluminum, plastics) and manufacturing processes such as stamping and injection molding.
  • Fluent English communication skills, both spoken and written (Chinese a plus).
  • Proficiency in MS Office; strong organizational, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Open-minded, flexible, and able to work under tight deadlines while maintaining product functionality, quality, and cost efficiency.
