Senior Design Engineer

Your tasks

  • Product Concept Development and Planning:Innovatively sketch cost and performance-competitive product concepts and define development roadmaps.
  • Communication Coordination:Ensure excellent communication between local customers and the product team, as well as between local and German product teams, for topics related to local product development (e.g., design, validation, supplier activities).
  • Technical Target and Requirement Definition:Define local technical targets and requirements for PLG products, assemblies, and components in alignment with the German product team, based on local customer needs and internal technical regulations. Ensure proper technical risk management.
  • Product and Component Release:Release local components and products to meet internal platform project targets.
  • Technical Issue Resolution and Leadership:Lead technical issue resolution for the engineering team, suppliers, and plant with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Project Management:Manage internal platform projects in engineering, ensuring smooth internal (departments) and external (suppliers) communication and achievement of defined engineering targets.
  • Cost Optimization:Initiate and organize local cost-reduction workshops for developed products with functional teams to identify and drive ideas for timely implementation.

Your Profile

  • Bachelor degree or above in engineering or business administration.
  • 3-5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Good knowledge of innovative design thinking and engineering methodology.
  • Clear thinking, strong sense of responsibility, patience, and the ability to work independently under project time pressure.
  • Knowledge of spindle drives, deck lid/tailgate automatic opening, and ECU control systems is a distinct advantage.
  • Familiarity with design principles in the automotive industry and comprehensive knowledge of project management methods.
  • Good knowledge of material technology, manufacturing methods, and problem-solving methodologies.
  • Business fluency in English.
