Account Manager for Japanese OEMs (m/f/d)

Your tasks

  • Preparation of offers in the assigned product area based on customer inquiries (checking the inquiry documents, if necessary with the involvement of other functions, plausability check of the requested calculation, determination of a price proposal taking into account the competitive situation and comparable product offters, representation of the price proposal to the supervisor)
  • Presentation and negotiation of offers to the customer within the framework of the pre-defined range of negotiation
  • Building and maintaining sustainable customer relationships
  • Contact person for the customer in the event of problems and technical changes, initiating and pursuing the problem-solving process with the involvement of other functions, communicating results to the customer
  • Initiating measures to improve profitability and implementing them together with the involved functions
  • Reviewing contracts and documents (orders,  purchasing and warranty conditions); analyzing deviations from existing agreements, evaluating changes and preparing a statement in collaboration with other specialist functions, negotiating with customers
  • Observing, analyzing and evaluating the market regarding sales potential, competitive activities and assessing the development of products for annual sales planning
  • Managing series phase-out and plan and process spare parts orders, including determining all-time requirements and tool scrapping


Your Profile

  • Completed studies of economics and/or business administration with a regular study period up to 4 years
  • 3-5 years of work experience
  • Knowledge of project management
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Fundamental knowledge of contract law
  • Knowledge of cost accounting/calculation
  • Business fluency English skills, native level Japanese skills
